Faith groups have advocated for workers’ rights throughout history.  All major faith traditions believe that workers have a right to be paid a living wage, to stick together for better pay and conditions, and be treated with dignity by their employer.

Since its beginning in 2013, Thrive! has been building a coalition inclusive of workers, employers, faith-based, governmental and nonprofit organizations to work together to ensure that everyone residing in La Plata County has the opportunity to earn a living wage.  Thrive! believes that all workers should be paid a living wage and that this is, most importantly, a moral issue.

Thrive! Interfaith Partner Program brings together faith groups which support Thrive!’s vision and mission. Current members include the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Durango, Christ the King Lutheran Church and Durango Friends Meeting (Quakers).  Thrive! keeps Interfaith Partners updated on Thrive! activities.  Partners promote Thrive! initiatives in their congregations who are encouraged to participate in Thrive!.

In the face of growing economic inequality in our country, it is critical for us to come together now to work for economic justice. We welcome all faith groups to become a Thrive! Interfaith Partner.  Please call Darren at 970-335-8114 for more information.
